Anna Kou graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was an Associate Editor of the Journal of Race and Law and served as a student attorney in the Criminal Appellate Clinic and the Pediatric Advocacy Clinic.
After law school, Anna worked as an appellate attorney at The Children’s Law Center. She represented children in custody, visitation, paternity, and child protective cases, and argued before the First and Second Departments.
