Ben Welikson is a graduate of Wesleyan University and received his law degree from The George Washington University Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Ben represented indigent clients in the Federal, Criminal, and Appellate Clinic and served as the Administrative Editor of The George Washington International Law Review.

Before joining Appellate Advocates, Ben clerked for the Honorable James E. Graves, Jr. in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and for the Honorable Steven M. Gold in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He also served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, where he litigated on behalf of the City of New York on the trial and the appellate level.
