Justin Alejandro Colón-Rabinowitz graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where he obtained a certificate of distinction in Criminal Law and received a C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship from the New York City Bar Association. He graduated from Dartmouth College, cum laude, with high honors, and majored in Spanish Language, Culture, and Society.

Mr. Colón-Rabinowitz also holds Master of Fine Arts degrees in Creative Writing in English and Spanish from Hofstra University and New York University. Prior to law school, Mr. Colón-Rabinowitz was an adjunct professor of Spanish and Creative Writing at Hofstra University. Before joining Appellate Advocates, Mr. Colón-Rabinowitz worked as a public defender at Nassau County Legal Aid Society. He also worked as a Law Clerk on the Defensive Litigation Team at Jadeja-Cimone Law, PC, where he represented detained noncitizens in removal proceedings before the immigration court and advocated zealously for their due process rights through bond hearings, asylum proceedings, and appeals. Mr. Colón-Rabinowitz is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Puerto Rican and Dominican Bar Associations.
