Senior Staff Attorney


David Fitzmaurice previously worked as an appellate lawyer at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he litigated commercial and constitutional cases in federal and state courts nationwide. In his pro bono practice at Weil, David represented indigent clients in their direct criminal appeals and was also a member of a trial team that successfully challenged the constitutionality of an Arizona statute banning ethnic studies programs in public schools.

David clerked for Judge Paul A. Crotty in the Southern District of New York and interned for Judge Anthony J. Scirica in the Third Circuit. He also clerked for Chief Judge Rosemary Horgan of the Irish District Court. David graduated with first class honors from the National University of Ireland Maynooth Law School and obtained his LLM from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
