Lisa Napoli is a Supervising Attorney and Director of Policy and Strategic Litigation. A graduate of Cardozo Law School after years as a community organizer on the Lower East Side, she served as a Pro Se Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit before joining Appellate Advocates in 1999. She has briefed over 300 motions and appeals, primarily in the Second Department, but also in various trial courts, the Third Department, the New York State Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  She has obtained the exonerations of two men. Among other responsibilities, she coordinates Appellate Advocates’ Parole Advocacy Project, which partners with NYU, Brooklyn, and Columbia Law Schools to provide advocacy and support to Appellate Advocates clients who are going before the Board of Parole.
