Sankeerth joined Appellate Advocates as a Staff Attorney in 2024. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was part of the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic and served as the Executive Essays Editor of the Columbia Law Review. While in law school, he interned for Advocates for Children of New York and Emery Celli Brinckheroff Abady Ward & Maazel LLP.
Upon graduation, Sankeerth was a legal fellow at the Legal Action Center, and he then clerked for the Honorable Susan L. Carney on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Margo K. Brodie on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to law school, Sankeerth taught high school physics and math in New York City. He also holds an M.S. in Teaching from Pace University, and a B.A. and B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
