Brandon Vines joined Appellate Advocates in 2025. He previously clerked for the Honorable Richard Boulware of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and served as the Leonard Sandler Fellow at Human Rights Watch, where he investigated the U.S. Department of Justice.
Brandon earned his J.D. with Kent Honors from Columbia Law School, where he was Executive Articles Editor for the Human Rights Law Review and the Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual. He was captain of the Immigrant Rights Moot Court team and part of the Human Rights Clinic’s project on war crimes and mass graves. He interned at the Georgia Resource Center and the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Montgomery, Alabama.
Before law school, Brandon monitored the Syrian conflict at the Carter Center. He holds a B.A. in History from Kennesaw State University.
