Downward Departure in SORA Case Granted From Level 2 to Level 1
Over opposition from the prosecution and the Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders, our office obtained a Level 1 for our client, who will now be able to pursue gainful employment without his picture and address on the SORA internet registry. The court found it compelling that in the seven years since his release, our client had no other offenses.
