Law Student Intern Program

Appellate Advocates has a summer internship program for law students who have completed their first or second year of law school.  Over the course of the summer, interns work closely with senior staff attorneys to draft legal documents in various practice areas, including Sex Offender Registration Act cases, post-conviction immigration relief litigation, and direct appeals from trials and guilty pleas. Interns may also conduct legal research on discrete issues, assist in post-conviction investigation, attend oral arguments, and participate in various other office functions.

Law students who have a strong interest in criminal defense work are encouraged to apply. Excellent research and writing skills are essentials. Applicants should be motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Appellate Advocates is deeply committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.

To apply: Interested students should e-mail, in PDF form, a cover letter, resume, writing sample, and a list of references to [email protected].

We fill positions on a rolling basis and begin considering applications in September for the following summer.
