Sean Murray graduated summa cum laude from Amherst College and received his law degree from Columbia University Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Before joining Appellate Advocates, he clerked for the Honorable Nicholas G. Garaufis of the Eastern District of New York and for the Honorable Julio M. Fuentes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In addition, he practiced police-misconduct and other civil rights litigation for two years at Beldock Levine & Hoffman LLP and worked for five years as a litigation associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP.
